Summaries
Automatic generation
Section titled “Automatic generation”Quendian generates a summary automatically when you stop a recording. The summary appears in the session view below the transcript, typically within a few seconds of stopping.
If the summary hasn’t appeared yet, it shows as Pending. in the session view and in any exported Markdown.
Regenerating a summary
Section titled “Regenerating a summary”You can regenerate the summary for any session at any time. Use the regenerate action in the session view. The new summary overwrites the previous one.
Copying a summary
Section titled “Copying a summary”Use the copy action in the session view to copy the summary text to your clipboard.
Switching providers
Section titled “Switching providers”Your summarization provider is set in Preferences → Summarization. The setting applies to all future summaries — including regenerations.
See API Keys for provider setup, or Providers for a comparison.
Quendian Cloud — automatic length routing
Section titled “Quendian Cloud — automatic length routing”When using Quendian Cloud for summarization, the model is selected automatically based on transcript length:
- Short transcripts — Claude Haiku (fast, cost-efficient)
- Medium transcripts — Claude Sonnet (balanced)
- Long transcripts — Claude Opus (highest quality for dense content)
This routing is fully automatic. You don’t choose a model tier — Quendian Cloud picks the right one for the session length.
